Seal Beach Heating- Electrical Underfloor Heating

By Shelby Maddux

Heat pumps are equipments used in homes and establishments which uses heat from one place and transfers it to another in a higher temperature. But keeping in mind that your heating systems are efficient, cost effective and being environmentally friendly should also be considered. If you want a heating system that is cost effective, hardly needs any maintenance, environmentally friendly, reduces house dust and doesn't require ugly radiators? But why choose an Air source heat pump?

It has similar way of providing heat but the big difference is the heating elements are on the walls and on the floor rising up into the room.Air source heat pumps gives fairly lower cost of heating. The biggest benefit from it is getting the energy where it is most needed.

It can only mean that energy efficient air source heat pumps can provide reduced annual fuel bills. And with the use of modern materials, underfloor heating provides more heat than installed in older buildings made from older materials. Air source heat pumps are also capable of having reverse-cycle which means that it has both heating and cooling features like all geothermal heat pumps.

In the market today, there are three types of radiant floor heating systems available for the consumers. For a qualified professional electrician, the electrical underfloor system should be connected. And ideally the system must be linked via a fused spur, which will isolate the system for any maintenance requirements of the heating system.

The air heated radiant floors is the least cost effective of the three types of radiant floor heating system. It should be allowed to dry for at least three days before the heating system will be activated. However, it is advised that hot water is heated to above 60C, which may not be possible for some units if outside temperature dips.

The efficiency and performance of air source heat pumps can be affected by high or no wind conditions and sustained temperatures below freezing. In securing underfloor heating insulation boards to the sub-floor depends on the kind of floor. Therefore clearing your drive way from snow and ice will be no more.

For wooden sub-floors, first ensure the floor-boards are firmly fixed to the joists before applying a flexible floor tile adhesive. And here are some other points to consider in buying an Air source heat pump. We should keep in mind that fans and compressors make noise.

You dont have to suffer anymore with your old fashioned heating systems. All external units should have a sound rating of 76 decibels or lower. Choose a heat pump that has defrosted control.

This will reduce the supplementary electrical energy use for heating by the heat pump. Make sure that the outdoor unit is protected from high winds because this may affect the efficiency of the heat absorption process. And if you will be going to use the heat pump more in the heating mode rather than the cooling mode then installing the indoor unit in a low wall position is better as this will increase its heating efficiency.

There you have it, all the know how on buying Air source heat pumps.
