Getting Chilly With Your Cool T-Shirt

By Arnold Bendis

You're one of the cool kids, right? You must be cool if you're cruising around on the Internet looking at articles about cool t-shirts. You don't need any help at all, do you? I could go ahead and list some ideas on methods for you to attain coolness, but that may be a waste of time since you're so darn cool already. I guess I'll go ahead and give you some pointers on being cool, just so we can compare notes.

First of all, you need to dress the part. Wearing really cool clothes may seem shallow to you, but it's really necessary to help you stand out from the crowd. If fashion is beyond you, then you can pull off the same trick by wearing a really cool t-shirt with your blue jeans and sneakers. A cool t-shirt with a slogan that stands out and makes people want to read it will draw people into conversation, which then gives you a shot at showing yourself off a bit.

To really be cool, you have to ditch that lame attitude that makes people thing that you crave attention. If you're cool, then you're going to get as much attention as you need so you don't have to pander for it. To be cool, you must rid yourself of all desire for coolness. It's kind of hard to understand, but maybe meditation, or something, could help. Quit wanting people to think you're cool, and people will think you're cool.

You may not understand this, but the third task is to gather a cool group of people around you. You need to find some cool friends or you'll never learn from more experienced cool people. Please don't misunderstand me and think that you have to abandon your old friends. You just need to make NEW friends. Being cool is about moving around in many different social cliques. Snobbery is most definitely not cool.

Being cool is not going to be easy, especially if you find yourself at the far end of the spectrum. It is a very attainable goal, however, and something worthy of your time and energy. When you're wearing your cool t-shirt, chilling with your cool attitude, and hanging out with cool're efforts will be worth all of the effort and pain you put into them.
