Wear Sunless Tanners For A Risk Free Efficient Tan

By Haywood Hunter

There has never been so much health information available to the public as there is today. And, people love having access to this valuable information. They can use it to come up with healthier ways to live their life. This has become just the case when it comes to tanning. Many people have turned to sunless tanning as a healthy option for getting that bronze look.

It used to be that people would slather baby oil onto their skin, and bake under the scorching skin, to become beautifully tan. Well, as the dangers of this kind of tanning became better known, people did away with this practice. But, they did not do away with their tans. Eventually, the tanning bed came onto the scene and made a quicker, year round tan a reality. Most people can find a tanning salon somewhere near them. And, a lot of people frequent them. However, tanning beds can be just as harmful, if not more, as the natural sun.

Even though the tanning bed offers people a more convenient tan, it can actually be more harmful than lying in the sun. While using a tanning bed, one can be exposed to 50%-100% as much UV light as they get from the natural sun. This has been found to be especially harmful to teenagers, who make up a large portion of tanners. Some of the problems with exposure to UV light are that it speeds up the aging process, suppresses the immune system, and puts individuals at a higher risk for skin cancer.

Using a sunless tanner is actually the safest way to get a tan. Not only is it safe, it is very convenient. All it takes to get a sunless tan is a trip to your local pharmacy. Once you get the product home, and apply it, you will be tan in a day. Reapply as often as necessary, to maintain the tan that you desire. Or, don't reapply and your tan is gone within a week. You do not have to make much of a commitment to a sunless tan.

Sunless tanners come in lotions, creams, gels, and sprays. It is your choice which one you use. It's also up to you how tan you want to get. The only time that you might employ the help of another individual might be when attempting to apply the product evenly.

If you have skin that is hard to tan, these products can get it done for you. If you have cellulite, they can help to make it less visible to others. And those pesky stretch marks? A sunless tan can hide them.

When you think about the fact that a traditional tan is the after effect of your skin getting burned by ultra violet light, a sunless tanning product makes much more sense. It does not use the same process as the sun, or a tanning bed, to turn your skin brown. It is much safer. And, it puts your hands, and your health, into your hands.
