Great Baby Christmas Gift Ideas

By Ledley Withenshaw

Christmas is always more special when there are kids, especially when it is the first Christmas of a new born baby. For the newest member of the family, you can pretty much get a traditional gift or not.

Here are a couple of gift ideas that will last for the years to come. Of course, babies have been known to be more fascinated by the wrapping paper!

Simple is always good, such as blocks, ring games, rattles, and even rubber duckies. Basically, any toy that can make a sound can make baby happy while mom and dad get Christmas dinner ready.

After all of the excitement, getting ready for bed will not be as easy. A musical mobile will surely help.. A music box is another musical idea.

By putting down the baby's name or a little message for the little one, the gift can become much more personal. You can get a baby blanket or a teddy bear of sorts that says "my first Christmas". Some bears can even play music or sing a little song. You can always get something Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

A Christmas box keepsake for the baby's fist holiday is another great idea. You can also get boxes to store the baby's fist hair that you cut or first tooth that he loses.

You can also get a stocking with baby's name on it. Or you could also get some pewter mugs as well as meal sets too.

Sterling silver keepsake spoons or photograph albums or photograph frames are another baby Christmas gift idea. More religious folks might even get baby a Bible or scripture book for Christmas.

Presents that are not all that conventional are becoming rather popular. These are the gifts that the baby won't be able to unwrap or enjoy much just yet, however, these are the ones that will stay with him forever.

For a memorable baby Christmas gift, there are companies that sell an acre of land on the moon or Venus.

With this you will get a location map, a deed certificate, as well as mineral rights. Or you could also give a star the baby's name. This comes with a presentaion box that has a certificate of the name of the star, a sky chart, and a star plotter.

If you want something that is right here on Earth, you can have a tree planted in you baby's name.
